How we verify reviews

A review does not go on the site straight away. Between “send” and “published” there are five steps, and we explain exactly what they are.

Why we check

826

of 162428 reviews carry the “verified” badge

335

reviews have already been answered by a clinic

5

steps between “send” and “published”

What checking does not change

  • A low rating is not in itself a reason for removal

  • A complaint about how the appointment was organised: waiting, booking, surroundings

  • Disagreement with a prescription, if it is described as personal experience

  • Criticism the clinic has not replied to

Checking steps

5 steps

  1. 01

    Confirming the appointment

We check the review against a booking: whether this person saw this doctor on the stated date. A review from a booking made through the portal gets the “verified” badge. A review without a booking is published without the badge — we will not delete it.

    no time promised

  2. 02

    Screening for signs of manipulation

We look at how quickly reviews appear, repeated wording and the author’s connection to the clinic. A suspicious batch goes to manual review as a whole, not one review at a time.

    no time promised

  3. 03

    Editorial reading

An editor checks the review for third parties’ personal data, insults and medical claims presented as fact. The editor does not change the rating or the substance of the complaint.

    no time promised

  4. 04

    The clinic’s right to reply

The clinic sees the review as soon as it is published and can reply. The reply is published alongside, indented, and dated separately.

    no time promised

  5. 05

    Dispute review

If the clinic disputes a review, the verification team asks both sides to confirm the appointment. An unconfirmed review is removed; a confirmed one stays — regardless of the rating.

What we reject

5 reasons

  • Third parties’ personal data: other patients’ names, numbers, diagnoses

  • Insults and personal attacks

  • Advertising of other clinics and doctors

  • Reviews of an appointment that neither side confirms

  • Medical advice given by a patient to other readers

How to dispute a review

Dispute review

If the clinic disputes a review, the verification team asks both sides to confirm the appointment. An unconfirmed review is removed; a confirmed one stays — regardless of the rating.

Frequently asked questions

Why was my review published without the “verified” badge?

The badge goes to a review for which a booking through the portal was found. If you booked directly by phone, there is nothing to confirm the appointment with — the review is published, but without the badge.

Can a clinic delete a bad review?

No. A clinic can reply and can dispute whether the appointment took place. The rating has no effect on publication.

How long until it is published?

A review is published once it passes the checks: matching with a booking, screening for manipulation and editorial reading. A review sent for manual review takes longer than the rest.

Can I change my review?

Authors cannot yet edit a published review themselves. Write to the editorial team: the review will be removed or replaced with a new one, which will go through the checks again — its publication date will change.
