    Nature of the information posted

The MEDGID portal (https://medgid.kz) is an information and reference service. It publishes information about doctors, clinics, medical services and prices, a directory of diseases and blog materials, and accepts appointment requests and patient reviews. This document is valid in the edition dated 10.02.2026 and applies to all sections of the portal, including the Kazakh and English versions of the pages.

The portal does not provide medical services, does not carry out medical activity and is not a medical organisation within the meaning of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Health and the Healthcare System". Medical care is provided by clinics and doctors acting on the basis of their own licences and permits. The portal displays information about them, helps to choose a specialist and transmits an appointment request — and that is the extent of its involvement. The portal does not give consultations by telephone or correspondence, does not provide telemedicine services, and does not issue referrals or medical documents.

The materials of the directory of diseases, blog articles and descriptions of services are of a general informative nature. They are not a diagnosis, a prescription, instructions for taking medicinal products, a clinical protocol or a specialist's opinion, and do not replace an in-person consultation with a doctor. The decision on examination, treatment and taking medications is made by the doctor after an examination. Independent use of the portal's information to diagnose oneself or another person is unacceptable, and the portal does not accept liability for the consequences of such use. In a life-threatening condition, one should contact the emergency medical service rather than look for information on the portal.

Information about the cost of services is of a reference nature, relates to the day of publication and does not constitute a public offer within the meaning of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Advertising of medical services and medicinal products is placed on the portal in compliance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Advertising" and is marked as advertising; advertising materials reflect the position of the advertiser, not the portal's assessment.

    Relationship between patient and clinic

Submitting a request through the portal does not create a contract between the patient and the portal and does not constitute an appointment binding on the clinic. The contract for the provision of paid medical services is concluded directly between the patient and the clinic in accordance with the rules of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and healthcare legislation. The portal serves as a means of transmitting the request and providing information support for that transmission; it does not become a party to the contract for the provision of medical care under any circumstances.

Together with the request, only the following is transmitted to the clinic, and nothing else: what the patient specified in the booking form and selected on the card: — the name by which the patient identified themselves; — the contact for communication; — a comment, if the patient wrote one in their own words; — the selected doctor, clinic and branch for the appointment; — the date and time of the appointment, the type of appointment and the selected service from the portal's directory; — the language in which the patient asks to be contacted. The portal does not request information about health status, diagnoses or examination results and asks that it not be provided in the comment to the request. The patient's contact is stored in encrypted form and is not kept in plain text in the portal's database. The request, with everything the patient specified in it, is stored for one year from the date of submission, after which it is depersonalised: the record of the fact of the enquiry remains, while the name, contact and comment are deleted from it.

After the request is submitted, a portal operator contacts the patient — as a rule of the service, within fifteen minutes during working hours — and agrees the appointment with the clinic. The request is tracked by the statuses "New", "In progress", "Confirmed", "Rescheduled", "Completed", "Cancelled", "Patient did not attend". Confirmation of the time, its rescheduling and cancellation depend on the clinic's schedule; the portal transmits the clinic's decision but does not make it on its behalf.

The portal is not responsible for the actions or inaction of clinics and doctors: for the actual presence of the specialist at the appointment, changes to the schedule, the clinic's refusal to accept the patient, the scope, quality, timeliness and result of medical care, for the diagnosis made and the prescriptions given, for the final cost of the appointment and for the clinic's compliance with licensing requirements. Claims on these matters are made directly to the clinic, as well as to the authorised body in the field of healthcare. Upon the patient's enquiry, the portal reports which details of the request were transmitted to the clinic and when: mail@medgid.kz, +7 (747) 708 28 18.

Reliability of information about doctors and clinics

Doctor and clinic profiles are compiled from open sources, from information provided by the clinics themselves, and from materials prepared by the portal's editorial team. The portal cross-checks this information, merges duplicate profiles and removes contradictions, but does not guarantee that the data is complete, accurate or up to date at the time the patient accesses it. The specialty, years of experience, education, appointment schedule, branch address, list of services and contact numbers change on the clinic's side, and the portal learns about a change later than it occurs.

Before a visit, information about appointment times, address and cost should be confirmed directly with the clinic. The schedule shown on the portal reflects available slots as they are known to the portal, and a discrepancy with the clinic's schedule is possible. Prices on the portal are for reference: the final cost is determined by the agreement with the clinic and depends on the volume of care actually provided, so a discrepancy between the stated and the final price is not in itself a violation on the portal's part.

Descriptive texts in the profiles are prepared by the portal's editorial team. Verbatim texts from third-party websites are not copied to the portal; if a profile does not yet have its own description, the corresponding field remains empty, and emptiness here is more honest than borrowing. Photographs are posted with an indication of the source or are created for the portal; an image whose rights have been infringed by its posting is removed upon request by the rights holder.

Inaccuracies in a profile can be reported using the "Report an inaccuracy" form on the profile itself, by email to mail@medgid.kz or by phone +7 (747) 708 28 18. Reports are reviewed within three working days from the day of submission. A doctor or clinic has the right to demand correction of information, replacement or removal of a photograph, and deletion of the profile from the portal; the demand is fulfilled within the same period after confirmation that the request comes from the person to whom the profile relates. The portal does not compensate for losses arising from an inaccuracy corrected within the stated period.

    User reviews

Reviews on the portal are the evaluative judgements of their authors about their personal experience of visiting a doctor or a clinic. The portal does not confirm the circumstances of treatment described in a review, does not verify the medical validity of the ratings and does not express, through a review, its own opinion about a specialist or a medical organisation. The rating derived from reviews reflects the opinions of the people who sent them, not the qualifications of the doctor.

Before appearing on the portal, every review is checked by a moderator. Reviews containing profanity — including with letters replaced by symbols — personal data of third parties, other people's contact numbers, advertising and verbatim copied text by others are not published. A rejected review is accompanied by a reason, which is kept in the portal's log and serves as a reply to the author. Reviews collected from open sources appear on the portal only in the editorial team's own wording: verbatim words from a third-party site do not make it onto the portal.

The mark "Review verified" is given to a review left via a one-time invitation after an appointment that took place following a request from the portal. Other reviews are published without this mark, and the absence of the mark does not mean the review is unreliable — it only means that the portal has no confirmation of the visit. The overall rating is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the review's five ratings, rounded to one decimal place. The portal does not change ratings, does not delete negative reviews at the request of a clinic and does not post reviews for remuneration.

Responsibility for the content of a review lies with its author, including under the rules of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the protection of honour, dignity and business reputation and under the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and Its Protection". A doctor or clinic that considers a review to be untrue has the right to send an objection to mail@medgid.kz; the portal considers it within three working days and has the right to remove the review or to place the clinic's reply next to it. The author of a review has the right to demand its deletion by confirming their contact with a code — upon a request to delete data in the patient's account, the author's reviews are removed from the portal.

    External links

The pages of the portal contain links to third-party resources: websites and pages of clinics, reference and industry sources, and the OpenStreetMap mapping service showing the location of branches. These resources do not belong to the portal and are not managed by it.

The portal does not control the content of third-party resources and does not check it on an ongoing basis. Following an external link means leaving the portal: from that moment on, the rules, personal data processing policy and terms of the resource to which the user has gone apply, rather than the rules of the portal. Information provided by the user on a third-party resource is not transmitted to the portal, and the portal cannot dispose of it.

The presence of a link is not a recommendation, endorsement or confirmation of the reliability of the information posted at that link and does not indicate any connection between the portal and the owner of the resource. Advertising placements are marked separately in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Advertising”; anything not so marked is placed by editorial decision. The portal is not responsible for the unavailability of a third-party resource, for changes to its content, for malicious software distributed from someone else's site, or for losses incurred by the user as a result of accessing such a resource.

A broken, erroneous or dangerous link can be reported to mail@medgid.kz or by telephone +7 (747) 708 28 18. The report is considered within three working days: the link is corrected or removed. The current version of this document is posted on this page of the portal; enquiries on any matters, including matters of personal data processing, are handled at mail@medgid.kz.
