The appointment with the ophthalmologist went like this: I was given a lecture on ophthalmology, though I'm not sure it was needed, and diagnostics were carried out in 4 stages. They also measured visual acuity — something that is done free of charge in any optician's.
Disliked
At the end of the appointment, the doctor very persistently tried to push treatment at the clinic costing more than 300 thousand tenge, which would have improved my eyesight by only 0.5, and at the same time he disparaged laser correction — apparently because it isn't done here. Maybe I would have believed in this method, but I remembered that several years ago I had already been to a gastroenterologist at this same clinic and encountered almost the same thing. And they even charged separately for the glasses prescription 🤦🏻♀️ — it would have been better to just include it in the cost of the appointment.
