We came for an appointment at 9 months about another issue — we had hip dysplasia. Instead of prescribing an ultrasound, the doctor said that the hip dysplasia had resolved and the fontanelle had closed. Then she started saying that the child had autism, delayed speech development and so on, and that at 9 months a child supposedly should say the words "mama", "papa", "dai", and should cry at the sight of a doctor. I stopped listening to her, dressed the child and left. We were examined by another doctor — we had an ultrasound of the head, the fontanelle is open, everything is fine. Now we are almost 11 months old, and we say "mama", "papa".

I did not like the appointment at all. Instead of prescribing an ultrasound, the doctor simply said that the hip dysplasia had resolved and the fontanelle had closed. Then it got even worse: she started talking about autism, delayed speech development and about how at 9 months a child should say "mama", "papa", "dai" and cry at the sight of a doctor. That is nonsense. Every child is individual: some speak at one year, some at two. After these words I stopped listening to her, dressed the child and left.
