From the age of 12 I started having breathing problems and heart pain. In 2004, when I was 14 years old, my parents decided to have me examined in Bishkek, but nothing was found. The attacks continued. In 2018, when I was 24 weeks pregnant, I was referred for an appointment with a cardiologist at the A.N. Syzganov National Scientific Centre of Surgery. I was consulted by the cardiac surgeon Koshkinbayev Zhenis Bakhytyuly. After a detailed study of my examinations and tests, he referred me for additional tests to determine the problem more precisely, and I was found to have CHD PDA. In 2021, surgery to close the PDA was performed professionally. Since 2018, Koshkinbayev Zhenis Bakhytyuly has been my attending physician.

Zhenis Bakhytovich consulted us regarding undergoing rehabilitation after surgery — a cardiac rehabilitation centre recently opened in Almaty, and we went there.

Zhenis Bakhytovich is an excellent cardiac surgeon and an expert in his field. We liked everything very much, my daughter was delighted. The centre has very experienced and good specialists: there is a speech therapist, a psychiatrist, exercise therapy, an occupational therapist, a massage therapist, a rehabilitation specialist and a neurologist. The appointment took place with a surgeon, and after it I saw three more cardiac surgeons.
Disliked
This surgeon should be feared! He destroyed all my morale and advised urgent hospitalisation for surgery, but it turned out that it is not needed now and certainly not so urgently. Three cardiac surgeons whom I saw after him agreed on the opposite opinion. He is completely incompetent and does not know how to talk to patients!
