I booked an appointment with Natalya Anatolyevna as a psychotherapist, because I have long been suffering from depression, constant fatigue and thoughts of suicide. I went to the appointment hoping that I would receive qualified help and would be able to discuss the prescription of antidepressants.
Disliked
My expectations were not met. Instead of a psychotherapeutic consultation, I was given an ordinary neurological examination and a lecture on psychosomatics: they said that everything depends on the person themselves, gave me cards and explained how emotions are connected to illnesses. But that was not what I came for — I turned to a specialist because I can no longer cope on my own. I was also prescribed additional tests costing approximately 25,000 tenge. When I asked whether I could send the results via WhatsApp in the evening so that the doctor could look at them, I was told that a repeat paid appointment for 15,000 tenge was required. It is unclear why, after an expensive consultation, one has to pay such a sum again just to find out the test results. In the end, I was prescribed magnesium, melaxen, glycine and noophen — medications that I had already taken before and that had not helped. That is precisely why I was looking for a psychotherapist, hoping for a more serious approach. After the appointment, I was left with the feeling that my complaints and the reason I came were not heard. I spent about 40,000 tenge but received neither answers to my questions nor the help I came for. I left the office in tears and completely disappointed. If what you need is specifically a neurologist or a consultation on psychosomatics, perhaps this specialist would be suitable. But for those who are seeking psychotherapeutic help and support in a difficult emotional state, I would advise finding out in advance what format of appointment awaits them.
