I booked an appointment with the doctor based on reviews on the website. At the first appointment, the doctor tapped on my kidneys, listened to my symptoms and confirmed acute pyelonephritis. I asked about a sick note, and he asked why I needed one, since the fever was already gone. At the follow-up appointment it turned out that the doctor did not know where to sign on the sick note, and only then did I learn that the form for a certificate of temporary incapacity for work costs 6,000 tenge.

To be honest, I am not impressed. The doctor does not know in which cases a sick note is due — this was confirmed when at the follow-up appointment he did not know where to sign on the form. I also only found out about the cost of the sick note form at the follow-up appointment: if they charge for issuing it, why not warn about it when it is opened? This is the first time I have encountered this. In other private clinics I paid for the appointments, and the sick note was issued free of charge.
