We came with a 4-month-old child for an appointment with this "doctor" on 6 September 2019. We complained of a fever, poor appetite, heavy harsh breathing and nasal congestion towards the evening. The doctor diagnosed an acute viral infection, said the throat was clear, there were no wheezes, and that the child was breathing normally now. He prescribed herbal expectorant drops, Nazivin in the nose and more fluids. To my question of how many days to take the medicines, he replied: give them for 5 days, if it doesn't clear up — come back, I'll prescribe something else.
Disliked
At that point the child had already been ill for 6 days, and from the same "treatment of the virus" things only got worse. In the end another paediatrician, on examination, diagnosed laryngitis, and he needed an antibiotic. What would have happened if I had believed this useless doctor and done nothing?! I don't even want to imagine it.
