I have had this tongue problem for more than a year now, but earlier, when I saw all the specialists — a gastroenterologist, a dentist, an endocrinologist, an ENT doctor, an allergist — there was no result, though back then there was no sore throat either. I chose this ENT doctor based on reviews. She did not even look deeper into my throat, decided that I had an undertreated tonsillitis, and prescribed a spray and an expensive antibiotic. The pain did not go away. She also sent me to an oncologist, although because of the tongue problem an oncologist was unnecessary, but I went. The oncologist was perplexed as to why I had been sent to him. I paid for the appointment and the report. I took the antibiotic, gargled my throat, used the spray, but the pain still did not go away.

But she made an incorrect diagnosis and prescribed antibiotics. To be honest, I didn't like either the diagnosis or the prescriptions. In the end, another paediatrician completely ruled out the previously made diagnosis and cancelled the antibiotics — it turned out we don't even have indications for them.
