We treated with another doctor for half a year, but the child's haemoglobin could not be raised. We came to Astana to look for a haematologist and ended up at an appointment with Balguzhinova Alma Rakhimzhanovna.

I am very grateful to her. She prescribed competent treatment, and within a month the haemoglobin rose from 72 to 115. There is no limit to the joy.

I did not like the appointment with this doctor, and I would not recommend her. I came with an infant, and I never received a specific answer to my questions about the child's rash. The doctor performed the examination and palpation without disposable gloves.

They told me nothing sensible, they answered my questions vaguely, they gave no precise answer about my child's rash, they just sat there looking wise and spoke in scientific terms. Out of a 20-minute appointment, I waited in the consulting room for 10 minutes, and for 15 minutes the doctor was sorting out a personal matter on the phone in front of me. The clinic is in a run-down neighbourhood; with a baby in a pram I had to walk over dug-up potholes. Until I asked for help lifting the pram, it would have just stood there in the entrance vestibule. The clinic itself has no ramp to lift a pram up. I am very disappointed with the visit; it feels as if I just walked in, handed 8,500 to the cash desk and simply walked out. No clear picture formed in my head of what is happening with my child at the moment. And yes, her clacking heels annoyed me very much.
