I met Alibek Musayevich in the intensive care unit of cardiology at the City Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 2 in Astana, where he was my intensive care doctor. After discharge, when I needed to undergo rehabilitation, I again turned to him for recommendations.

I know what difficult conditions medics work in and how many of them burn out while performing their duties formally. But Alibek Musayevich turned out to be the only doctor in intensive care who showed genuine compassion. He questioned me in detail about my entire medical history, asked clarifying and open questions to get to the true cause of the heart attack. Despite an enormous workload, he found time to answer each of my questions clearly, to reassure me and explain what was happening to my body. This speaks of the highest professionalism, responsibility and love for the profession. It is heartening that our entire healthcare rests on such compassionate specialists. When the question of rehabilitation arose, I turned to him without hesitation and once again became convinced I had not been mistaken: he showed the utmost attention to detail and drew up a competent, clear and effective recovery programme. Huge and sincere gratitude to Alibek Musayevich for his golden hands, his sensitive heart, for saving my life and restoring my health. I wish him good health, strength and success in this difficult but important work!
