In January I had an acute attack of urticaria. I was very frightened because I had never had an allergy before, and I wanted to get to the bottom of the cause straight away. The doctor prescribed me medications that relieve the symptoms. When I asked whether we would look for the cause, she replied: well, if you want, you can have some tests. And she ordered a lot of tests for immunoglobulin. Then I went to another specialist, and the first thing he did was refer me for a complete blood count, from which he immediately understood what was going on. Just a complete blood count, and that was it.
Disliked
The doctor did not look for the cause, but simply prescribed medications that mask the symptoms. To my question about the cause she replied that if I wanted, I could have some tests, and she ordered a load of tests for immunoglobulin. She also said she had heard it could be anything, even gonorrhoea, and made absurd hints about my husband cheating. It's outrageous.
