My mum had operations for appendicitis, and after them the doctor said she had intestinal paresis. I asked what that was, and he answered that it was dryness. As it turned out, intestinal paresis is already intestinal obstruction. If he had said straight away then that it could lead to death, my mum could have been saved. They didn't do a colonoscopy, they only did an ultrasound to look at the intestine, although a colonoscopy or CT should be done. They didn't even say that I should go and have it done somewhere privately — I would have taken my mum, and we would have had it done. If they had said specifically what it could lead to, and not like that.

The doctor didn't explain what intestinal paresis is, he only said something about dryness. He didn't say it could lead to death, and because of that my mum wasn't saved. They didn't do a colonoscopy, although it should have been done, they only did an ultrasound. They didn't say it was possible to have the examination done privately — I would have taken my mum, and we would have had it done. They didn't say specifically what it could lead to.
