We came with my daughter to an appointment with a neurologist because of pain in the shoulder and shoulder blade area, which has been tormenting her for more than two years. We were seen on time, by appointment, we didn't have to wait. The doctor asked very attentively and in detail about the complaints, general condition, lifestyle, and also clarified in detail how the pregnancy, childbirth and early development of the child proceeded — weight, height and so on. It was clear that she wanted to see the full picture, and not just the local problem. The examination was detailed, with checking of reflexes and general neurological status. Additionally, we were recommended to rule out concomitant causes: an ultrasound of the thyroid gland was prescribed, as well as an MRI of the cervical spine, shoulder joint and lumbosacral region. They also gave detailed advice on the daily routine, rest, therapeutic exercise, exercises for the cervical and lumbar regions, swimming and the pool. Treatment has not yet been prescribed, because the doctor decided to first wait for the MRI results and only then draw up a full treatment plan.
